I received your letter of May 7, 2004 requesting reactivation of the Appeals Panel of the Liaison Committee for Specialty Boards (LCSB). As you know, the original appeal was scheduled for December 17, 2003 and was cancelled after all of the supporting materials had been sent to the individuals selected to serve on the Appeals Panel. It may be necessary, should the original Appeals Panel members be unable to participate, to appoint other members to this Appeals Panel and to provide them adequate time to review all of the necessary materials.

I will be contacting you as soon as possible with a date.
