March 2005:     The ABVS Position Regarding the Primary Certificate

March 2005:   At the COCERT Committee* of the ABMS which considered and approved the Primary Certificate, three younger active vascular surgeons spoke on  why independent specialty Board recognition for Vascular Surgery was so important to them and their future careers.

Drs. Carlo Dall'Olmo, Nicholas J. Gargiulo III and Neal S. Cayne spoke on behalf of all younger practicing surgeons to the COCERT Committee and ABMS members from other Boards.  These courageous individuals deserve the recognition and gratitude of all North American vascular surgeons for their carefully delivered presentations.  Dr. Dall'Olmo's remarks will be posted on the ABVS Web site and also on the Vascular Web.
